Sorry if it hurts.
But I’m doing it on purpose.
Because only the Truth will set you free 😉
And here I’m bringing you back to the most basic Truth: The Law of Evolution
To explain it best, let me use this example.
Imagine doing business as the same as owning an iPhone.
Let’s say a few years ago you got the iPhone 6 — the newest at the time.
The good thing with iPhones is that they look good for a long time.
No need to change them 😉
What happens though is that it is the technology that the phone is running on that changes.
But no worries…
You only have to do the IOS upgrade every so often.
See?! It all works out great.
You do your upgrades and happily keep on with your iPhone 6.
But with time, your phone starts to slow down…
Externally it still looks super good.
The thing is that every time you use it you get that hint of frustrating because you can tell it’s not as efficient as it used to be.
But oh well…after all it is STILL working — not need to worry about it 😉
Here you are: you keep on with the same phone.
Until one day something happens.
You go to the App store, try to update your existing apps or get new ones and a message pops up:
YOU CAN’T DOWNLOAD APPS ANYMORE BECAUSE YOUR PHONE DOESN’T SUPPORT THE NEW OPERATING SYSTEM
What do you try to do?
You try to upgrade your phone IOS…but BAM!
Another error message.
YOU CAN’T DO THE IOS UPGRADE BECAUSE YOUR PHONE DOESN’T SUPPORT THE NEW OPERATING SYSTEM
Now you can’t even do what you used to on your phone.
Your apps stopped working well.
You can’t get new ones.
Others seem to keep moving forward because they have newer iPhones.
Now you’re missing out.
They’re already ahead of you using the new features.
By the time you get a newer phone, a newer version is already out
And now you’re lagging.
Because even if you get the newest phone you don’t even know how to use the new features…
But — damn! — the others do!
They can maximise the capabilities of the phone and use it to its full potential.
But you — you have a new phone but you are only able to do the same things as you did with your old phone.
New features have you lost.
I’m sure you have that image in your mind of an old person you know that is using an iPhone like if it was still a Nokia!
Only able to do calls and text messages.
They can’t even use the apps or added features built-in the phone!!
IN A NUTSHELL:
That is what is happening to businesses that don’t make the upgrade to setting up an online version of their business 😉
